Downing Centre reopens after flooding
The Downing Centre has reopened with upgraded facilities for court users. Some Local Court matters will be listed at the Downing Centre from 22 December 2025, with normal sittings to resume from 12 January 2026.

Local Court Fixed Vacation Period 2025-2026
The fixed vacation period for 2025-2026 will commence from Thursday, 25 December 2025 and conclude on Sunday, 11 January 2026. If you are seeking an urgent variation to your Local Court bail conditions during this time, call the NSW Courts Service Centre between 8:30am – 4:30pm weekdays on 1300 679 272. Courts will recommence sitting from Monday, 12 January 2026.
